St Luke's Services are dedicated to the delivery of an education and training programme, which supports and develops all those caring for patients and their families, clinically and non-clinically, within a palliative and end of life care setting.
Our education department leads St Luke's Multi-Professional Team to share their specialist knowledge in Palliative Care, symptom management, patient and family support, communication skills, ethical skills and staff and volunteer support.
To meet the needs of those working across the Health Care Region, the Education and Specialist team works collaboratively with Plymouth NHS Trust, Plymouth P.C.T, Peninsula Network, Plymouth University and Plymouth Medical School and other regional Hospices. This ensures that the range of courses, study days and teaching programmes are based on evidence based practice and are updated regularly to reflect what is current in both National and Regional Hospice, Palliative and End of Life care.
Education Facilities
St Luke's education facilities(which are also available to hire) provide comfortable and welcoming learning environments within the Education department situated no the top floor of the hospice or at our Community site - St Luke's at Pearn.
Parking is limited and department visitors are encouraged to car-share or park in the adjacent public roads or nearby car parks. There are designated disabled parking and facilities.
