Fundraising

In order to continue the vital work of St luke's, we have to raise more than £3.5 million every year from our local community.

You can help raise funds either by participating in an event or campaign (click through to events calendar) or by organising your own fundraising event.

In the community

Community Fundraisers Stephanie Cherington (Plymouth) and Katie Edmondson are tasked with raising the awareness of St Luke’s Hospice and promote fundraising events. They would love to hear from anyone interested in organising an event in our local community and can be contacted on 01752 492626.

They also all have some very exciting fundraising initiatives coming up this year that anyone can get involved in. Click below to have a look at what's going on.

Organise your own event
Many people have organised their own events in the past, from concerts to cake sales.  Our events fundraising pack contains an A-Z list of event ideas and tips on how to organise your own event.  Contact your Community Fundraiser for help, advice and for fundraising equipment. Make sure you keep in touch.

Fundraising volunteers
If you fancy helping out with the Community Fundraisers, they are always looking for volunteers to help with bucket collections, attending fetes and fun days etc.  If you are interested in helping, visit our volunteer page.

Talks
All of the Community Fundraisers are available to give a talk or presentation.  Talks can be tailored to your group’s or organisation’s interests, in terms of subject and duration.  Perhaps you may have had a cancellation – please don’t hesitate to contact us as we can give a talk at short notice.  Things are always changing at St Luke’s so there is always something exciting to talk about.

Schools
Our Community Fundraisers enjoy very much working with schools.  They can provide a talk at assembly time or even come and do a series of lessons.  Talks and lessons can be planned with the teacher and in conjunction with the curriculum.  We have various resources and tools that can be used including a thought provoking DVD and exercises which encourage creative thinking.  If you would like to arrange a visit please contact the fundraising office on 01752 492626.
