The Promise Campaign

In September 2009, St Luke’s launched a hard-hitting awareness campaign, aimed at giving the public an insight into the impossible promises that the staff at St Luke’s are often asked to make.

Titled ‘The Promise’, it follows on from our previous ‘1 in 5’ campaign, which focused on the statistics of terminal illness. This time, ‘The Promise’ takes you much closer to the heart of St Luke’s, as it is made up of the real life experiences of our doctors, nurses, chaplaincy staff, social workers, complementary therapists and other staff members.

What you see in this campaign are the very real fears and questions of patients, their families and loved ones and the assurances they are often desperate to extract from our doctors and nurses.

Pictures and quotes from the campaign, which is sponsored by Nash and Co Solicitors, can be seen on buses and billboards throughout the Plymouth area. You can also watch the promise campaign on our YouTube site by clicking here.

If you would like any further information on ‘The Promise’ campaign, please contact us on 01752 492626.
