At St Luke’s we’re dedicated to developing and delivering great education and training. The courses we offer support and develop all those who care for patients and their families, both clinically and non-clinically, within a palliative and end of life setting.
Our education department leads our multi-disciplinary clinical teams to share their specialist knowledge of end of life care, symptom management, patients and family support, communication skills, ethical skills and staff and volunteer support.
To meet a variety of needs our education team works with Plymouth NHS Trust, Plymouth P.C.T, Peninsula Network, Plymouth University and Plymouth Medical school as well as other Hospices to deliver our courses. This means we can provide evidence based practice and can update our courses regularly to reflect new ways of working in both National and Regional Hospices and End of Life care.
We can now support health and social care staff to undertake QCF End of Life Care and Peer Mentorship Level 2 - 5 qualifications please click here for more information
