Courses
At St Luke’s we are dedicated to developing and delivering excellent education and training. The courses we offer support and develop all those who care for terminally ill patients and their families, both clinically and non-clinically.
Some of the courses we are currently running include: Verification of Expected Death Theory Session, Verification of Expected Death Practical Assessments and Syringe Driver Theory Training.
Our education department leads our multi-disciplinary clinical teams to share their specialist knowledge of end of life care, symptom management, patient and family support, communication skills, ethical skills and staff and volunteer support.
We work alongside University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust, Livewell Southwest, Peninsula Network, Plymouth University and Plymouth Medical School as well as other hospices, to deliver our courses. This means we can provide evidence based practice and can update our courses regularly to reflect new ways of working.
Please email education@stlukes-hospice.org.uk or call 01752 964250 to find out more information on our available courses, place a booking or discuss any bespoke end of life/palliative care courses to suit your team’s needs.
