St Luke’s Hospice Plymouth provides specialist end of life care and support for people with progressive life-limiting illnesses.
Our vision is a community where no person has to die alone, in pain or distress. Our specialist care is provided by a multi-disciplinary team of doctors, nurses, social workers and therapists to patients and their families at home or at our specialist unit at Turnchapel.
Our nurses are a fundamental part of the services that St Luke’s provides to the community, without them the care we provide simply would not be possible. They care for people across Plymouth, South West Devon and East Cornwall, ensuring that our patients are as comfortable and at ease, as possible.
The St Luke’s nurses are a special breed; they choose to use their skills in an environment and situation that many would find difficult. But that’s why they do it – they know they have something very precious to offer; advice, support and compassionate care to patients and their families at the end of their own lives, or someone they are close to.
