Our shops
Donations
In fact, we need your pre-loved clothes, furniture, books, crockery and bric-a-brac more than ever because everything we sell means more money to help us be here for the increasing number of local families who desperately need our compassionate care and support.
By donating your items direct to our charity shops, you’ll help St Luke’s be more efficient in what we do. We’ll either sell them at the store where you drop them off or transport them to another where we know they’re more likely to fetch a better price. This means we no longer need to run a big warehouse to hold our stock, which in turn means we save money we can spend on caring for our patients.

Thank you for continuing to support St Luke’s – it is so appreciated!
Temporary two-bags (or boxes) limit on donations
We so appreciate our community’s support for St Luke’s, including the good-quality items kindly donated to our charity shops.
If you are donating, please note that, for the time being, we are unable to accept more than two bags (or boxes) per customer.
This temporary limit is because with so many kind donations of clothes, all our shops – even our larger stores* – are fast approaching capacity for these items. There’s enough stock to last for months to come, which is great news but means we’re very short on space to safely store more clothing.
We recognise that our two bags limit might feel frustrating if you want to donate more, but we hope you’ll understand that the safety of our customers and shop teams must remain our first priority.
Your kind co-operation will help keep our shops running safely and smoothly for everyone.
Thank you for your continued support.
*At our large shops, we welcome the good-quality furniture you no longer need. If you have bulky items you’re unable to deliver, we can collect them from you free of charge. Please call us on 01752 964455 (Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 4.30pm) or complete this short form.
Fill a box to support our care
From Saturday 4 January, customers browsing the good-quality, preloved clothing on the rails at our Western Approach charity shop will be invited to ‘fill a box for a fiver’ or a larger one for a tenner.
From dresses, tops and jeans to men’s shirts, each box-awaiting bargain has previously been on sale at another of our shops. Its arrival at our Western Approach outlet is part of our policy of rotating stock so that customers always have plenty of freshly delivered items to choose from. This helps keep footfall high, generating more profits to support the high-quality care we provide 365 days a year across Plymouth and surrounding areas.
Our Western Approach store (former Toys R Us) is open 7 days a week, 9.00am to 4.30pm (Sunday’s 10am to 4pm).
