Spiritual Care
Spiritual care is about supporting the whole person – body, mind, and spirit. You don’t have to be religious to have spiritual needs. At its heart, spirituality is about what matters most to you, what brings you peace, and how you make sense of the world especially during times of illness, change, or uncertainty.
Spiritual care is the support we offer to help people:
- Find or reconnect with meaning and purpose
- Reflect on life, relationships, and what really matters
- Explore feelings of hope, fear, love, forgiveness or peace
- Feel more connected to themselves, to others, or to something greater
For some, this might involve their religious beliefs or faith in a higher power. For others, it might be found in nature, music, art, relationships, or quiet reflection.
We know that a person’s spiritual wellbeing can have a real impact on their emotional and physical wellbeing. When people are given the time and space to explore what’s going on inside it can bring comfort, strength, and a greater sense of peace.
Our team provides a calm, supportive space where you can talk, reflect, or simply be still. We’re here to:
- Listen deeply and compassionately
- Respect your beliefs, values, and cultural background
- Support you whether you follow a particular faith or not
- Help you explore big questions, emotions, or moments of meaning
- Connect you with local faith leaders if that feels right for you
Spiritual care is for everyone. Whether you’re religious, spiritual, uncertain, or none of the above, your story, your feelings, and your inner world matter. If you’d like to speak with someone from a particular faith or community, we can help arrange this through our trusted network of local faith leaders and spiritual companions.
You can find more information about spiritual care on the Marie Curie website.
