Record breaking runners raise over £40,000 for St Luke’s

Record number of runners

They came, they ran, they did us proud. A record number of runners gave it everything they’ve got for St Luke’s in the Run Plymouth Half marathon, 10k and 5k on Sunday morning, raising more than £40,000 for our specialist care.

This year more than 90 runners ran in aid of St Luke’s, the highest ever number we have had supporting us, all running in memory of the special people they have loved, cared for and lost.

Over £40,000 raised for patient care

The sun broke through and shone down on the inspiring runners, striding through the streets of Plymouth with smiles on their faces.

As a collective, the big-hearted runners have raised more than £40,000 in fundraising, that money will enable our teams to deliver their care to local families in need, providing our specialist palliative care and support for patients and their loved ones, when and where they need it most.

Thank you to all our runners and everyone who has kindly supported them and donated, you have made a massive difference.

As the sun shone down on our capital city yesterday, our St Luke’s runners took every step of the London Marathon with courage, care and compassion in mind. Meet the Guiding Lights Artists
